National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) Local 3725 conducted its biennial election to elect officers to serve on the Local 3725 executive board.
A meeting took place via Zoom on Friday, November 15, 2024, to nominate an election committee. At that meeting, Local 3725 members, BPA Michael Lewandowski, BPA Joshua Berrios, BPA Yancy Kramer, and MSS Kelli Ellis accepted to be members of the election committee and agreed to conduct a fair and impartial election.
The election committee sent nomination notices to all Local 3725 members at their addresses that were on file with AFGE at that time. Nominations were received, and all candidates accepted or declined their nominations via phone or email. Two positions were uncontested and as such, the following members were elected by acclamation at that time:
Vice President (Ramey Sector) – Neville Escribano
Vice President (New Orleans Sector) – Marc Rejas
Ballots for the contested positions were sent to all Local 3725 members at their addresses that were on file with AFGE at that time. The following are the candidates who ran for the contested positions:
President – Shedrian Burnette and Manny Silva.
Treasurer/Secretary – Citlalli Miranda and Matt Wilder.
Vice President (Miami Sector) –Jayden Richards and Angel Lopez.
The election committee completed a tally of the ballots that were received and certified the results of the election on Friday, December 20, 2024. The results of the contested positions are as follows:
President – Shedrian Burnette
Treasurer/Secretary – Matt Wilder
Vice President (Miami Sector) – Jayden Richards
Effective January 1, 2025, the above members are the elected officials of Local 3725.
